It was a really cool do-it-yourself show (5 bands for $5 bucks…or something like that). A ton of people showed up, including a few of my closest friends. I wound up sitting at the venue’s bar with my friends up until the time we played.
When we got on stage, I was in the zone: locked and loaded. We rocked the joint. It was probably the most fun I’ve had playing a show to date. Off stage, the festivities continued back at the bar. The next morning I woke up and couldn’t exactly remember all the details from the night before. According to my friends, I was the life of the party. Overwhelmed with inspiration, I picked up my guitar and wrote what is now my favorite Boyish Good Looks song: “Life of the Party.” Activities & Interests: Cooking, golf, disc golf, P90X, shopping, soccer, song writing, surfing the Internet Favorite Movies: Blow, Casino, The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Departed, Donnie Brasco, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Shutter Island, Superbad, Thank You for Smoking Favorite TV shows: 24, Arrested Development, Californication, Hung, Cops, The OC, Entourage, Lost, Monday Night Football, Party Down, Prison Break, Sports Center, The Walking Dead, Weeds Favorite Books: All Employees Are Marketers by Richard Parkes Cordock, The Indie Band Survival Guide by Randy Chertkow & Jason Feehan, Positively Outrageous Service by T. Both occasions I told him “I won’t forget the way you loved me…” |
